Food, fashion and fitness influence how you look and feel about yourself. And, whether you like it or not they influence how others perceive you as well. These 3 F’s of Fabulous can work in your favor or against you depending on the choices you make. This is not to say that everyone has to eat completely healthy, workout everyday or wear designer clothes like you see in the magazines and on television. It does mean that the food choices you make and the presence or absence of even a simple workout routine influence how you feel about yourself because they influence the chemicals in your brain. The clothes you choose also make a statement on how you feel about yourself. Do you wear bright colors or drab, do you wear solid colors only or prints, do your clothes fit you properly, and do they say you are confident and competent or just comfortable? Even if you say you don’t care, inside, you do! You want people to have an accurate impression of the real you before you say anything at all.
There is power in posture and colors. Standing up straight whether you work out or not, makes you look confident and helps you breathe better. And colors can literally change your mood. If you are avoiding color, is it because you don’t want anyone to notice you? You can brighten your own day with even just a pop of color. And you will brighten other people’s day as well. Be daring, give color a try. And smile.
