Before you can begin to create a business plan for your life with which you will accomplish your goals, you must first know who you really are. You also need to be acutely aware of how you feel about yourself. This determines how others feel about you. Who we are inside is the same for all of us. Inside, beneath the layers that the conscious mind has created through learning and experiences, we are all gentle, loving souls. This is the origin of our ability to be happy, content, peaceful and fulfilled. It is here that we must return before we can accomplish our goals.
Once we spend some time discovering who you are, we will begin to excavate what your dreams and passions are. I will caution you now; these may not be what you think they are. There will be a place where you describe the house and the cars you want but it will not be here. These dreams are much more important to who you are underneath the layers of education and experience- your elemental self.
Once we have begun excavating our way to the center of your being, we will stop for a moment to look at another critical element that we must know before writing a business plan is “Where am I now?” Once we know where you are now, we have a basis to figure out how to get you where you want to be, hence, your goals.
How you achieve your goals. Congratulations! You are now in the business of making your ideal life your everyday reality. You will determine what you will accomplish today, tomorrow, this week, next week and next year.
You have a plan, you need a partner. Your coaching partner will hold you accountable for your plan: the short-term and long-term goals and monitor the steps you are taking to achieve those goals and charting your progress and celebrating your accomplishments and successes. Attitude is as critical as the steps themselves. And having someone cheering you on and encouraging you to go farther than you thought you could is a necessity that you will not get from your friends and family who have their own lives, feelings, biases and issues even though they may be supportive of you. Your coach will have none of those. We’re just here for you!
